Calling all aspiring authors and fans of children’s literature! Join award-winning author Kate Klise for a lively workshop on how to take an idea—perhaps from Chautauqua—and turn it into a book. Kate will share her favorite writing tips and tricks and answer questions about publishing in today’s complicated marketplace.
BIOGRAPHY:
Kate Klise is an award-winning author of more than 30 books for young readers. Her books are perennial favorites with teachers and students around the world who enjoy Kate’s epistolary style of writing and her characters whose superpowers include curiosity, empathy, and an insistence on kindness. Kate Klise also spent 15 years working as a correspondent for People magazine, interviewing such icons as Harper Lee and Johnny Cash.
