Despite having a winemaking history that dates back centuries, Austrian wines meet the moment for several reasons: the cool climate makes standout wines, the whites are dry, the reds are refreshing, and several native grapes offer something different. Join us for a tasting of Austrian wines from several growing areas to sample the country’s offerings.

BIOGRAPHY:

This tasting will be led by Tyler Colman, Ph.D., also known as Dr. Vino. Tyler is a wine writer, the author of two wine books who has also contributed to numerous outlets including Food & Wine, The New York Times, The World of Fine Wine and Wine & Spirits. Tyler is a wine educator who has taught at both NYU and the University of Chicago. Now he’s leading food, wine, and culture tours in Europe as Tylermade Tours.
