DESCRIPTION:

Good sparkling wine is endlessly fascinating and widely misunderstood. Not only does it elevate any occasion, it is also overlooked as a versatile food pairing. In this session, we will examine the shape of bubbles from various places including France (Champagne and beyond), Spain, and Italy. You will leave this session with a deeper understanding of the winemaking processes, differences in tastes and asking yourself how you can work more bubbles into your life!

BIOGRAPHY:

This tasting will be led by Tyler Colman, Ph.D., also known as Dr. Vino. Tyler is a wine writer, the author of two wine books who has also contributed to numerous outlets including Food & Wine, The New York Times, The World of Fine Wine and Wine & Spirits. Tyler is a wine educator who has taught at both NYU and the University of Chicago. Now he’s leading food, wine, and culture tours in Europe as Tylermade Tours.
